Bio
I've "played around" with many creative things, but specifically lettering and calligraphy, since I was in my teens. I've enjoyed creating gifts for family and friends, as well as addressing my own Christmas cards and embellishing Snail Mail correspondence, for years. It has been only more recently that I have been blessed (really, I mean that) to have the opportunity to hone these skills and do something that I truly LOVE for a living!
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Mississippi University for Women (a.k.a. "The W") in 1993. My experience in the professional world has been heavy in customer service and in dealing with people, both of which I enjoy greatly. I've worked in a wide variety of settings: Swanky corporate offices, manufacturing mills, and women's clinics just to name a few. I'm very detail-oriented, and my degree has helped to arm me with exceptional skills in spelling and grammar - something that is extremely important in this business!
In addition to my own research, I've taken classes with Anne Elser of Atlanta and Suzanne Cunningham of Florence, AL. I'm always on the lookout for opportunities to learn and grow!
I take great pride in knowing that my gift of working with people, paired with my love of making beautiful things, can be executed in my studio by creating YOUR perfect work of art for your special occasion!
